Where does our name come from?

Our Name comes from Jesus' closing illustration in His Sermon on the Mount: (We also loved that great hit song: "The Wiseman Built His House Upon the Rock!")

" ... everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that hous; yet it did not fall, because it had it's foundation on the rock. But everyone who ehars these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash." (Matthew 7:24-27, New International Version)

Both men heard the words of Jesus. Only one was wide enough to apply them to his life and his house survived the storm! Jesus said that everyone who hears His words has the ability to put them into practice ... to be wise ... and to build his or her house on the rock (the words of Jesus). That's our goal to help you apply biblical principles and practices to your marriage and family life.

Because it's not a matter of IF the storms will come, but WHEN they will strike our homes. We want you to build your "House on the Rock!"
