According to a recent study, pastors and leaders who participate in ministry peer groups:

  1. Created a significant "culture of involvement" within their congregations that actively assimilated newcomers and fully involved members in leadership.
  2. See their congregations as significant servants and change agents in their communities.
  3. The longer pastors / leaders have participated in a peer group, the more likely their congregations will experience growth.
  4. Congregations have active youth ministries that are integrated into the life of their churches.
  5. 84% felt that their leadership improved.
