Someone once said that being a pastor can be the loneliest profession in the world. Even though you are surrounded by people constantly, chances are that you often wish that you could spend some time with others who know the highs and the lows, the victories and the challenges of being in ministry. Because you spend so much of your time teaching, equipping, and enriching the lives of those God has placed in your life, there are few opportunities for you to receive that kind of encouragement that you so often give others.
House on the Rock Family Ministries is excited to be able to provide such an opportunity for you!
By agreeing to be a part of MPG you will have the opportunity to receive:
- Helpful materials provided at each meeting
- Expert instruction from the HOTRFM team and other ministry leaders in their respective fields.
- Nine (4-hour) MPG meetings (Sept - Dec, & Jan - May.).
- Refreshments at each meeting!
In order to provide this unique opportunity for pastors, we ask for an small honorarium for the MPG year. This covers the cost of all materials and outside speakers. We believe that this honorarium is a great value when compared to similar pastor-training programs offered by other ministry groups and local seminaries. For churches that partner with our ministry, there is the opportunity to include MPG as part of that partnership.
We hope to have you consider joining our group! Recent studies have shown that pastors who participate in ministry peer groups not only see their leadership improve, but also their congregations grow!
Our vision for MPG is to bring pastors / ministry leaders together on a monthly basis to enjoy fellowship, get feedback on ministry challenges, share personal concerns, pray for each other, and explore new approaches to ministering to men, marriages, and families.
Each mentoring session will provide:
- Training on a family ministry topic.
- Encouragement and Enrichment ideas for keeping your "first family" first ...
- A safe place for you to discuss ministry issues with fellow pastors / leaders who can share their insights and experiences.
- Accountability for you on action items that you set at the meetings.
