House on the Rock Family Ministries exists to help churches build strong marriages and families on Biblical guidelines: "Families built on the 'Rock' today, will stand the storms of tomorrow."
We believe that if we can build strong men we will strengthen marriages. Strong marriages provide the foundation for effective parenting. Strong families create strong churches, because the church is a “family of families.” Building strong healthy families is vital to building strong healthy churches.

Our Name: comes from Jesus’ closing illustration in the Sermon on the Mount
"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash." (Matthew 7: 24-27 in New International Version)
The only difference between these two men is that the “wise” one applied the words of Jesus to his life and his
house stood firm. The other man while he heard the words didn’t work them into his life and his house collapsed!
Our goal is to help men and women see how to apply Biblical principles to their family lives. Because it is not a matter of IF the storms will come … but WHEN they will strike our homes. We want you to have your “House on the Rock!”
Helping families know and apply the Biblical principles of family life is vital to our mission. Our passion is to show people how to be husbands - wives, fathers - mothers, brothers - sisters, sons - daughters by presenting practical Biblical guidelines for building strong, healthy families ... the blueprint for building on the Rock!
We believe:
Statistics suggest that about 60% of Americans come from broken or blended families. Sounds like a lot of homes are built on "sandy beaches." In fact things are changing so drastically that our culture has re-defined “family!”
So ... we asked the question: "How long can the family survive this beach erosion?"
Our answer: Not long ... the majority of our children (future households) will have no idea what a healthy marriage or family should look like. Most of them have not experienced a positive home life. They have not been exposed to the blueprints needed to build healthy, positive, and loving family environments. Unfortunately, they appear doomed to repeat this negative pattern, unless they find the blueprint, and some tools for building strong families.Our hope: Is that these emerging families want to build better home lives than the ones they grew up in! And, that they want to build their marriages and family lives on rock ... not sand!
Our response: We began House on the Rock Family Ministries, an organization committed to helping these emerging families build strong marriages and families through Biblical family life education, local church ministries, and by providing compatible resources. We believe that the Church is God’s ordained vehicle for building and strengthening families. We want to help the Church see this need and come back to this vital mission.
House on the Rock is committed to helping people reclaim God’s original blueprint for family! Not as an unrealistic step back in time to some good ol' days ... but to prepare, and strengthen families for the storms that lie ahead!
