Fan the Flame Date Nite - November 2, 2006
November’s Fan the Flame Date Nite was held in the new Barn at Overlook. We had a sell out crowd of 90 folks there! As you can see from the pictures it was an unusual and classy setting for a night out on the town. Our menu was roast beef and pork with green beans and potatoes with brownies and cookies for dessert. We ate it all!
Kapp and Linda started our evening with a humorous drama emphasizing the differences between men and women and how they order at restaurants. She orders rabbit … and the “energizing” begins.
Our table game was barnyard families where couples had to match the unusual names of barnyard animals … like boar, sow and piglet … and that was an easy one! Three nice door prizes where awarded. They were gift certificates to Outback, Macaroni Grill and El Serrano’s … many were bumming they didn’t win.
Bruce and Karen began the overview of Eggerich’s “Energizing Cycle” as spelled out in his best seller Love and Respect. They covered the COU of couple, the way women feel loved; and the CHA of chairs, how men feel respected. We will continue this topic at our April Fan the Flame.
Couples were challenged to follow up by reading the energizing cycle chapters of Love and Respect. They were also encouraged to attend our February 8th Sweetheart Banquet at the beautiful Palm Court in Willow Valley.
Plan on joining us at our next FTF … look at the pictures.
