Dear Friends,
Take a Date
Marriage
is complex. Balancing kids,
careers, and money place huge daily stresses on your relationship.
How
do couples find time for each other?
Here’s a suggestion -- plan one date night out at least twice a
month just for the two of you -- alone.
Not to talk about kids, work, or finances but to spend quality
time talking to each other.
A
date night doesn’t need to be expensive or complicated. I’ve heard from couples that go to Home
Depot, or Lowes and do a little remodeling dreaming (that can be
expensive!) Others go to a park
and walk together – stopping periodically at a bench to catch up. It wouldn’t hurt to get to a fancy
restaurant once in a while. The
key is to get out together alone consistently, and to keep the focus on
building your relationship.
Now
for some shameless promotion; if you haven’t been to one of our Fan the Flame Date
Nites, please join us on Thursday, April 19th at the
beautiful Netherlands Inn and Spa in Strasburg (formally the Historic
Strasburg Inn). You’ll enjoy some
good food, fun and some time to talk "knee to knee nose to
nose" about the topic of the evening. That’s why we call them Fan the Flame
Date Nites. We’re trying to help
you “fan the flame” in your marriage.
To register, simply click on the banner at
the top or call us at (717) 492-9500.
We’ll hope to see you there!

Marriage,
